Meet Timewade’s Finance Manager

Meet Timewade’s Finance Manager 1824 1734 Timewade

Richard Mintram joined the Timewade team as our Finance Manager this February. Find out below what his job involves, why he made the move to Devon, and how he’s found his first nine months at Timewade.

Richard said: “I love the variety that working with Timewade offers. In bigger companies, the finance department is often split into different areas like payroll and invoicing, meaning your work can get repetitive. Here, I get to be involved with a range of financial functions, from billing and processing orders, to paying invoices, managing the payroll, and analysing the company’s financial performance.”

Richard grew up in Surrey, and spent the last few years working at an IT company specialising in cyber security and data protection. Devon has always appealed to Richard and his family, who now enjoy living close to Exeter while still being able to enjoy the coast, countryside, and national parks.

“We love living in Devon. The lifestyle here is great, and living near Exeter allows us to get the best of both city and countryside. Being able to work from home, as well as go into the office at Winslade Park, means I’m able to really make the most of where I live.”

We operate a flexible, hybrid working policy at Timewade – and days in the office are always a great opportunity for our team to get together, support each other, and have fun.

“As soon as I walked in the door, everyone was immediately very welcoming. I got taken out to lunch, and have now gotten to know the area since moving to Exeter.”

“Everyone in the office is chatty, and makes each other laugh, so there’s a great atmosphere. We also get to do lots of social events together – we went go-karting a few months ago!”

“There is a really strong ‘one team’ mentality here. Despite people working in different departments, there’s a lot of interaction between us all, which makes it easy to work together and get to know each other.”

Richard is currently working on his ACCA qualification, and is ultimately working towards achieving his chartered qualification.

Richard said: “Looking to the future, I’m delighted to be part of the Timewade team as the company continues to grow. It’s an exciting time to join the team, and I’m looking forward to seeing what opportunities open up over the next few years.”
