A New Addition to the Technology for Success Expert Panel
In response to the government’s advice in March, many businesses have found themselves having to rapidly adapt to a very different business environment. With many UK businesses now working from home or furloughing staff, many of Timewade’s clients and other SMEs in their network have been struggling to maintain ‘business as normal’ in these less than normal times.
To address the concerns of clients and the wider business community, Timewade have brought together a range of expert partners to launch the Technology for Success webinar series. The programme will provide essential support to SMEs in the South West as they navigate their way through the ongoing crisis.
Since its inception, the weekly 45 minute webinar sessions have provided practical guidance to some 50 business leaders, offering attendees a chance to learn key strategies and practical tips for adapting their business, as well as having their own questions answered by the expert panel.
Following the success of these webinars, Timewade are delighted to announce a new date in the series. Technology Lawyer, Ben Travers – who leads the IP, IT and Data Protection Team at Stephens Scown LLP – will be delivering a webinar on the topic of Surviving a Digital Pivot: Digital Decisions, Real World Impact on Friday 1 May, 08.30 – 9.15 am.
The IP, IT and Data Protection Team at Stephens Scown is one of the UK’s largest teams specialising in this area and Ben advises clients internationally on issues around the adoption and deployment of IT strategies, the impact of technology on businesses and organisations’ use of the internet.
Ben said: “The webinar series developed by Timewade is a fantastic initiative which provides a platform for the business community to come together and support one another. I am looking forward to sharing my knowledge and experience and to provide practical advice to all who attend on how they can make the most of digital technology.”
The Stephens Scown webinar on Friday 1 May will provide practical advice on:
- How to make short-term digital decisions without long-term negative consequences.
- How trading online differs from trading offline – and the main pitfalls to avoid.
- How to use remote working technology without breaching cyber security and privacy regulations.
Julian Wills, Managing Director of Timewade and Founder of the Technology for Success webinar series, said: “The webinar series aims to provide free-to-access, digestible and pragmatic support to businesses during these challenging times. The sessions so far have been well attended and the feedback has been extremely positive. We are thrilled to welcome Stephens Scown as a delivery partner and look forward to Ben Travers’ session.”
